Matin’s Journey: From Fear to Belonging
Matin, a 20-year-old refugee from Afghanistan, came to Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2022. Upon receiving international protection status, he is now legally allowed to stay in the country. For over a year, Matin has been working with a local clothing company. He is finally able to support himself and plan for his future.

Kateryna’s Path to Safety and Opportunity
From fleeing war in Ukraine to building a new life in Sarajevo, each step brings 30-year-old Kateryna and her family closer to the safety and stability they long for. In June 2025, she found a new opportunity in an IT company through a public employment program.
